PERFECTING THE ICONOGRAPHY FOR A SEAMLESS INTERACTION

I developed a comprehensive product icon system for LG Electronics’ mobile application aimed at enhancing usability and reinforcing the brand’s identity. The icons play a crucial role in guiding users through commands, navigation, and directories, ensuring clarity and efficiency at every interaction point.
DESIGN STRATEGY
The core challenge was to design icons that are visually distinct yet harmoniously unified as a system. To achieve this, I implemented a pixel-perfect grid structure with a consistent 2-pixel stroke weight, maintaining balance and proportion across all icons. This precision ensures that each icon remains clear and legible—even at the smallest sizes common in mobile interfaces.

Careful design guidelines were established to govern icon creation, covering proportions, stroke consistency, and spatial relationships. This ensured scalability and consistency as the icon set grows or adapts across different platforms and screen resolutions.
