“Design is ____” is a curated exhibition featuring work from nine designers in the BFA Graphic Design program. The exhibition serves as a collective reflection on the diverse roles, meanings, and impacts of design, showcasing each participant’s unique journey and creative voice.
CONCEPT & THEMES
Our team organized the exhibition around three central themes—Thinking, Play, and Impactful—each representing distinct facets of the design process. These themes guided the curation, helping to frame a narrative that balances intellectual rigor, creative experimentation, and real-world relevance.

At the core of the exhibition is a dynamic 3D word cloud installation symbolizing design as an open-ended and personal concept. This interactive element invites viewers to engage with a spectrum of ideas, encouraging them to question and redefine what design means in their own experience. The exhibition’s visual identity and spatial design were crafted to support this exploratory atmosphere, using flexible layouts and minimalist aesthetics.
